A part of the 2009 Black History Season, this exhibition will focus on English language comic book representations of the African and African-Caribbean characters over the last 100 years. Have these depictions throughout the years reinforced the prevalent black stereotypes of the day? There will also be an opportunity to see a new piece of work specifically created for the exhibition by a handful of renowned and talented London based graphic novelists, including Paul Peart Smith.
